Legacy Giving
People have made at least a start at understanding the meaning of life when they plant shade trees under which they know full well they will never sit.
-- Adapted from David Elton Trueblood

It's easy to continue supporting St. Margaret's, even after your death!

Bequests from wills, retirement plans and other estate plans are placed in permanently restricted funds and only a portion of the earnings is available to be spent each year. The remainder is kept in funds that grow over time and produce more and more earnings. Plus, donors get to decide where they want their bequests to go: properties, outreach, special projects or worship and music.

At the beginning of 2010 our endowment funds totaled more than $350,000. Funds are overseen by St. Margaret's Endowment Committee.

Legacy Giving Resources

  • How Will You Be Remembered?, a brochure prepared by St. Margaret's Legacy Society, or those who have remembered St. Margaret's in their wills and other estate plans.
  • Members of St. Margaret's Legacy Society. Our thanks to these faithful people for their ongoing commitment to St. Margaret's!
  • Bequest language, suggested wording to use in making a bequest to the church. Be sure to check with your attorney, however; this is sample language only.
