That's what Jesus asked Mary when she came to visit his body in the tomb (John 20:15). She didn't recognize him at first, yet something drew her and eventually God broke through in ways she didn't expect. Her eyes and her heart were opened. That seems to be the way God works with us. Some desire or spiritual thirst causes us to start seeking. We at St. Margaret's believe that the source of that desire and thirst is God. It is God who gives us a hunger for something deeper.
